Question about Kenwood KCA-BT100 Wireless Headset

Open Question

Kenwood Bluetooth HF Error 104

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP438U head unit with KCA-BT200 Bluetooth adapter. I use a Samsung M300 wireless handset. I have been able to successfully pair, but unable to call recently. When I look at the properties of the KCA-BT200 on my phone, the Supported Profiles say "NOT TRUSTED".

I also have gotten "HF ERROR 104".

The system has worked once before, but failed after I tried to set up presets for phone numbers on the head unit.

I have a very similar problem if not the same one. My iphone used to connect fine. But after I tried to add presset number or quik dial numbers it stopped working. First I noticed it did not save the numbers correctly. It only took some of the digits. I think it stopped working after trying to dial one of the corrupted preset numbers.

Now my iphone says it is paired but the "Tel" icon is yellow on the bottom of my DNX7320 screen. In the bluetooth preferences I can not find any devices and the HFP Device is not connected and I have no "set button" displayed next to it.

Any one have any ideas how I might fix all this. I can't even seem to find out how to repair the deivce from the stereo.

People can't hear me clearly on my KCA-BT200.

Hello,

Bluetooth originally had a limitation of about 30 feet +/-, however that doesn't mean great clarity until it reaches its peak distance range. With that said, I would suggest trying to move your phone around in the vehicle to get the shortest distance possible to the receiving Bluetooth device (KCA-BT200).
