Question about RCA D52W20 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Blurry picture The power went out a few days ago in my appartment and ever since the picture has been of poor quality. When I pull up the menu on the screen the words are blurry and the color is off. Also when I turn the TV and cable on all I get is sound for the first 20 seconds then the picture follows. The cable company has all ready looked at everything and are saying it is the TV. Any ideas

If the power to the tv was on when the power came back on it may have caused a power surge through the tv and could have knocked the allinment of the colour tubes out a bit you could try to reallin them via small screws on the colour tubes but you need the tv on an it can be difficult.

Please go to Setup menu and select Initialize option to reset camera to default settings that might solve blurry picture problem, if that does not help then its technician job to adjust focus of camera.
Thanks.

Hi, I have a Samsung HR720 DVD-TV recorder and since we have gone digital the quality of the picture recorded is blurry. I have checked the back of the recorder and it doesn't appear to be any option...

Hi, Check the settings in the TV menu. Set the sharpness abit higher. Also if you have already you need a set top box (PVR) to view digital signal and to record it as well. Good luck.

My daughter has a ViviCamx029 camera and all the pictures she or I take are blurryand of poor quality it has the anti shake technology and they are even blurry when we use the tripod

These "VINO" (Vivitar in name only) cameras are made by an overseas manufacturer of poor quality cameras. It is nearly impossible to take satisfactory pictures with these cameras.
The original Vivitar corporation went out of business more than a decade ago and the name was sold-off by their creditors to the highest bidder.
I suggest taking the camera back for a refund.

Make sure your zoom is not set to low also switch on the antishake in the camera menu.

Turn picture quality down slightly to either 6 or even 5mp ( I know whats the oint in a 8mp if you are going to turn it down) believe me it works better.

Try adjusting the focus ring around the lens. Poor quality try adjusting room lighting or you may need to upgrade to a better webcam.

A blue tint would be the color balance in the white balance settings in the menu. Go set the white balance to "Auto" if he pictures are blurry, you could have dirty lens. Take a q tip and wipe it down without and solution to it. Otherwise you could have faced a possible impact damage. Was the camera dropped, bumped, or knocked around. This can be fixed. I recommend sending it to the camera doctor.

He can fix it faster and cheaper than the manufacture. Impact damage is not covered by warrantys.

This is a known problem I believe due to a bad batch off CCD.s Tell Sony Technical support about it. If this camera falls into the above category it will be replaced free of charge
