Question about PC Desktops

We bought an LX7 Mouse to use with our Windows 2000XP. The mouse works fine but the remote keyboard does not work now. If I plug the old mouse in the keyboard still works with that mouse. The cordless keyboard is an A4 Tech, Model RFKB-15. Wayne wsrplusfive@aol.com

We have used the cordless keyboard for four years. It came with the mouse and computor and
there was no software. All we had to do was install the batteries and set the frequency switches on both the mouse and keyboard. I do not find any freq switches on the LX7 so is it
possible to use it with cordless keyboard?

I wanted to use the LX7 in place of our old mouse and it's receiver. Apparently this is not
going to work so anytime we want to use the cordless keyboard we will have to plug the receiver from the old mouse into the second USB
port. Now I wonder if it is a waste of money buying the LX7?

Thanks for nothing. What a waste of money.

Hello,

You say your mouse work, but your keyboard dosent right?

Go to start>(right-click)MyComputer>Manage>DeviceManager

There you will find a linst of all teh drivers on your computer.
Check if your keyboard appears under the keyboard tab.

Also, see if i tappears on the (?) tab. The (?) tab is for the drivers that are not working properly in your computer.

Once you have looked it, let me know to further help you.

PS* I went to A4tech's website andI found out that the combo of mouse+keyboard (RFKB) dosent need a software to be installed.

Try and press the connect button on the keyboard and the keyboard's receiver. This will change the radio frequency that the keyboard uses. Likely the mouse is interfering with that frequency.

OK! Lets troubleshoot this together.

First thing we want to do is verify that your keyboard & mouse and plugged into the correct places and are powered up and able to work.

Turn your computer on and look at your keyboard and tell me if any lights are on to show that it has power and is operational.

Watch the keyboard lights until the computer gets to the login page and tell me if the lights come on and stay on? Or do the lights turn on for a moment and then turn off again?

If you do not see any lights, please clarify if there are NO LIGHTS on your style of keyboard or if there are lights but they are not lighting up.

If your keyboard has lights and they are not lighting up at all, then turn off the computer and unplug the mouse and keyboard and swap them around. Then turn the computer on again and tell me if the lights come on and the mouse and keyboard become operational.

Once we verify this we can continue to the next step of troubleshooting. Please report what you find and I will help you solve this.

Wireless mouse and keyboard issues

If you have both sets of keyboard and mouse plugged in, turn off the computer and remove the old mouse and plug in the new mouse. Reboot and if necessary use the keyboard to login. Once windows is loaded let it detect the new mouse and then shut down again. Take out the old keyboard and reboot. You should now be able to use both new pieces without problems.

I have a nx2 nexxtech remote mouse. I replaced the 2 batteries (AAA) and it lights up, but does not work on the laptop. Any ideas what is wrong?

First, put charged batteries into your keyboard and/or mouse. Then, plug the adapter into the USB port. Then, press the big, round button on top of the adapter and the CONNECT button on the bottom of the mouse (not simultaneously). Then, press the big, round button on the adapter, and the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard (not simultaneously). Once the computer is on, click the mouse once, and everything should be working fine. If the mouse and/or keyboard do stop working, then either click the mouse once, try the connection process above again, or change your batteries.

P.S. The connection process is only meant for whichever part is not working (i.e. If the keyboard works, but the mouse doesn't, then only do it for the mouse.)

Cordless Mouse & Keyboard install I need help

if you have a disc for the new items ,install first, shut down pc, then take the old mouse & keyboard off connect the new wireless ones before rebooting
you may need to sync the mouse & keyboard by holding in the small little button on each item and the reciever unit untill the lights come on indicating it is recieving the signals from both mouse & keyboard.if this does not work put the old mouse back in reboot then go into control panel / mouse, and sellect wireless mouse ,turn off the pc plug the new mouse back in then boot up

good luck
