Timex i Control watch inner workings swap. I have an Timex Ironman i Control watch with a broken band. Are there any other timex watches i can swap out this 7 button watches inner workings with a NORMAL band? I use this watch all the time and the band just does not last.

Buy a new strap...They are a hell of a lot cheaper than the watches themselves. If you threw away a watch becuase the strap was dirty you made a dire mistake. Or you could get a watch with a metal strap or just buy a metal strap and change them over.

For some reason, the sound for the alarm and hourly chime is muted. Is there something I can do or is watch defective?

Most expandable watch bands aren't sizable. IF it is sizable you will be able to tell when you stretch the bracelet out. If it looks like you can unlatch the links when you stretch it out then you might be in luck, but like I said, most are not sizable.

First look for the set button then press it ,a long press and If it is blinking that's the time you to select the hour ,the minutes,the day/date,the alarms and the special features of your watch.The right button the up and down or for scrolling.Try all of this so your time will set.
