2 of 5 USB USB ports work

Hi Mark,

It looks like you may have to install some third party drivers to get these working as they maybe running on generic drivers .

have a look on the internet for the manfucturer and download the appropriate usb 2.0 drivers .

you can install these by going to computer , properties, device manager , click on the device name and update drivers then follow the onscreen wizard .

Alternatively you can just run the program executable if there is one .

hope this helps .

I need to have a standard USB card into my PCI slot on my Vectra (Win98). How much do you charge?

It's been two years since Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 98!

Take a look at: http://cgi1.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390254113473

which is a PCI-card that adds 4 USB ports.

Buy that adapter ($6 plus shipping), or some other similar one, and insert it into your computer.

Windows 98 should recognize it, automatically.

Hello i have hp rp5000 pc which have AGP port onboard but when i put graphic card in it it doesnt recognized it. I tried with another hp rp5000 bios but it doesnt work anyway-is there anysolution?

Erm, although the slot is labelled AGP1 (HEY HP Accelerated GRAPHICS Port 1 ???), it is not for a graphics card.
It is intended for an enhanced USB card that adds additional USB ports as well as 12volt and 24volt outputs.
The RP5000 was designed to be a POS (point of sale) unit and the additional ports were for devices such as barcode readers, handscanners and card readers to be plugged into.

Greetings....

Please try to check if your USB port both rear and front USB port are not defective. Most common problem of defective usb ports are when plug your usb devices it won't recognize the device you inserted. So to make sure that your USB Ports are not the main cause why your computer won't recognize devices you inserted.

Keyboard, mouse, front USBs,DVD recorder not working

It sound like your USB Ports is the problem. Go to the Hardware manager delete the USB Ports and then shutdown and power back up.
The system then should reinstall the USB Ports and associated drivers. If not the USB Ports were probably fried by the power outage.

Usb ports not recongized

Hello,

Do use in the front ports, sometime this port is unplug to the motherboard so it need to connect before you can use that port. In the back port you can always use that ports in there it is safe to connect any plug and play device such as flash disk or usb port printer. if this both not recognize your any device you inserted then probably your device is dead. try insert your device to other pc to see if still working if not then maybe the driver of your pc are not installed. try reinstall all the driver of your system.

may this help.

Usb 2.0 ports not working on my emachines T3504

You may need to uninstall your current usb's and let Windows redetect them.

click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL, SYSTEM. Click on tab HARDWARE, click on DEVICE MANAGER. Scroll down to UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER. Delete everything there. Click on ACTION, SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES. It should redetect and you should be good.

Mouse and keyboard not working / recognized by computer

Hi,
If its an USB keyboard and mouse, try to insert keyboard in upper port and mouse in lower port USB.
Sometimes when they Both are inserted in port in same line, they are unable to Fetch equal amount of power.
Try this and do restart your computer, after inserting them in USB ports. All the Best
