Question about SanDisk Sansa View 8GB MP3 Player - Black

Snyc & Playlist

Recently purchased Sansa 8GB Fuze. I first loaded all our cd's in HP Media Center. Then made my purchase of the Sansa. It did download all of our this library ok. Next I began making playlist in Best Buy Digital music
Had three playlist made on this Digital mucis place. Then I learned that I needed to use windows media center. That I had not used before. I tried following the directions to transfer list (wanting my list to to Fuze). I pushed the Fuze icon and it said Sync--it seemed to take a very long time. So I left it alone and went to the store. When I returned it was frozen with 14.6 GB of Info on it--cluding pictures from my computer. I only want to use this for music. I am 65 and need things to be simple. I want to erase all error info in the Fuze and find the playlist that I had finished.(if possible). And should I delete some of these other media centers on my computer: HP Media Center, Adobe Media Center, I-Tunes, Safari,Quick Time Player.
I would like my Fuze set only to copy music, and where does it get the info that is it copying??? Please help Learn how to Syns my playlist --so that they are all the same

Use the Sansa Media Converter to convert videos (and photos) to a format the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from

I recently purchased a Sansa Clip MP3. I downloaded audiobooks to it but they will not play. What do I need to do?

Not true!!! The Sansa Clip is actually the best mp3 player I have found for listing to audiobooks. Here is what you need to do. Download the latest firmware update on the Sandisk website. You must do this or it just won't work unless you are downloading books from Audible.

I use the Overdrive Media Console and download mp3 and WMA books from my state library. When you hit transfer, be sure it hit advanced options. Browse until you select the audiobook folder on your player. Then transfer to that.

The player will bookmark your last place on anything that is in your audiobook folder. You can easily switch back and forth between your music and book without losing your place! Love it!

It even has a sleep timer on it. I'm in heaven.

I cant find a cord to hook my SanDisk Sansa 8GB to car

The Sansa isn't supposed to connect to a CD player. You need to use a computer to rip tracks from the CD, then transfer them from the computer to the Sansa.

Limewire will get you the songs you need, but you must upgrade to Windows Media Player 10 to properly transfer the songs.

hmm. The hard drive itself could be messed up. The hard drive can easily be formatted by right clicking and formatting it. Though I am taking the easy way out here to fix the problem.
