GE Wash Machine, Model S3700G1WW, Serial VM125967G, 2 yrs. old. While on the spin cycle, I heard a noice. All the towels & a bath robe were bunched together. I noticed the basket sits lower on the left side. The spin cycle still works, but I do not want to operate the machine until the basket is position correctly. I tried to take the door off the front. On the left side, it is still attached somehow, can't seem to get it off completely. I noticed the tub looks like it is leaning more towards the right side. I can not find any pictures how the bottom of the tub frame is suppose to look. It is leaning to the right & a metal piece comes off of it & is position over another metal piece coming up from the bottom, not bolted. Is it suppose to hang in the middle & hang free?

SOURCE: Re: Kenmore model 23032 - When washing a load that

This is usually caused by the motor coupler. This is very inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a video this will walk you thru this disassembling and replacing a motor coupler in a direct drive machine. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting and replacement will be the same. You can also enter your model # for your specific model to get diagrams and illustrations. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.

Cost depends on your area, in upstate NY we charge $60 labor plus a $45 service call charge plus the cost of the part about $125 total.

I have a GE front load washer model number WBVH5200J1WW that’s 7 yrs old. During the wash cycle it will pause. Have to reset & it does this all thru wash cycle

If this is only on normal wash and not happening on the other cycles then you have a problem with your timer program for the wash cycle. try spinning the dial all the way around simi fast. Stop on off before wash cycle and try it.

No error cods? let me know

The wash time continues to increase on every cycle. I have a Maytag Neptune TL Washer.

Thank you my machine model number. The reason I ask is so many folks post non FAV6800A/FAV9800A issues in this forum. This forum doesn’t ask for machine model number and serial number. Here we go.

Does your machine seem to take longer than normal to fill with water?

Does the machine increase the time during the Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle?

Are there any error codes to the LED display such as dC or uC?

Do you want to work toward a DIY fix? If not maybe we can get a solid feel for the issue that will help you in the decision process to bring in a repair company or replace.

So I can better understand the issue can you start a Quick Wash cycle with Soil and Spin settings set to lowest setting and if you could place a couple of bath towels in the wash basket for a load.

I want to see if the machine will go thru the Wash, Rinse and Spin cycle within the 27 to 29 min time of a Quick Wash cycle. I want to see if the machine is increasing Washer Cycle time in the Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle.

You should enter the Rinse Cycle at the 20 min mark on the LED display.

You should enter the Spin Cycle at the 10 min mark on the LED display.

Watch the cycle and see if you have similar times as I do. Let me know if the washer has any off balance issues as it enters into the Spin Cycle…..Rich

Manual claims machine has ability to spin out water but there are no options on the control panel

There are different models withing this line by GE. There is one model that have a "Drain & Spin" cycle on the main cycle selection knob, but on the higher end models, you'll need to use the "Rinse & Spin" cycle.

This will add some water to the washer, but the basic cycle will give items a quick rinse and spin.

If you're trying to use just a spin cycle to wring out towels, etc. and you don't have the "Drain & Spin" cycle, (which you shouldn't based on your higher end model #), just use the "Rinse & Spin" cycle and it'll do a nice job of getting out a lot of moisture from your clothes, towels, etc.

I have this same washer in my own home and refreshed my memory by reading my manual (again) to see that this is what you need to do, to spin out stuff.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

The machine stops after the wash cycle and won't finish.

The code is UE

load too small.
• Load is out of balance.
• The washer has an imbalance
detection and correction
system. If individual heavy
articles are loaded (bath
mat, bath robe, etc.) and the
imbalance is too great, the
washer will make several
attempts to restart the spin
cycle. If an imbalance is still
detected, the washer will stop
and the error code will be
displayed.
• Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load.
• Rearrange items to help balance the load.

GE washer will not go to spin cycle or drain.

Possible lid switch not fully engaged. It will no drain or spin if lid switch is not fully engaged. I would also check the drain line for pluggage.

GE Washer won't drain or spin

this is something that you can fix even if your not a technical person . first you have to open the washing machine front panel or back panel , second , follow the DRAIN HOSE to where its connected to a little motor, disconnect the DRAIN HOSE , take the LITTLE MOTOR out and clean it out , it could be clogged.
it happen once and find out the person put the BATH RUG SET
to wash , the rug was so old that pieces of a rubber underneath the rugs clogged the drain , so there was no rinse and no spin.
try it , I hope it helps.
