I was wondering how to change my code on my safe I no longer have the owners manual.

Whatever the reason might be for seeing "SAFE" displayed on your radio, there is fortunately a fix for it. And thankfully, the fix should be quite simple.
In order to get the VW radio out of SAFE mode, you'll need to locate the radio code. There should be a card containing the code within your owner's manual. Once found, you can follow the instructions in your owner's manual for entering the code and getting it out of SAFE mode, as it could vary based on what radio you have.
If you are not able to find the code or are having trouble figuring out how to enter the code, the best thing you can do is to call your VW dealer for help. This is the best way to obtain your radio code if you do not have it.

Open your Sentry safe by typing the five-digit factory code (found in your owner's manual) on the keypad. It's always a good idea to change your combination while the safe is open, so that you don't inadvertently lock yourself out.

Delete any existing codes by pressing the "P" key and entering the factory code, followed by "00000." On older safes, press the "PROG" key and entering your factory code twice to delete old codes.

Press the "PROG" or "P" key again on your Sentry safe's keypad.

Enter your safe's five-digit factory code.

Enter a five-digit code of your choosing within 5 seconds. This is your user code. While the factory code cannot be changed, your user code can be changed as often as you like, and that should be your primary code to open the safe. Only you should know your safe's factory code.

My safe is opeed when enter the 4 digits followed by # or *. Try this.

The original code usually is five zero than you can put your own code in I hope this help

user code was deleted when the batteries went dead . a1 locksmith recommends replacing the batteries then use the master code in your owners manual to open the safe. Reprogram new user code instructions bottom of this page.

All you have to do is find your owners manual the sentry safe combination was posted in. Unless you locked it the safe as happens all the time. After all that is the safest place for it right. Or you can just call a locksmith service tech
