Johan I think you can just plug it in & it will work ok you could try it if there' s a problem most likley it would blow the breaker of fuse.
220 would be less voltage so I don't think it would cause a problem. That's what I would do. I don't know what outlets they use over there might have to use a different plug on the power cord. Might want to check with someone over there but I think you can do that.

Sounds like the wire that goes to the flame sensor switch if it is gas there is a black wire and a white wire that goes to it its on the left side of the gas valve on the flame housing tube / pipe

SOURCE: wiring 4 wird dryer plug to 3 wire 10/3 for 220 welder
the four wire plug seperates the neutral and ground. the three wire just piggybacks the ground to the neutral. so just get a three wire cord that fits the 220 plug on the generator and install it on your dryer make sure to attach the ground correctly for your three wire setup

THIS document has a lot of info about the wiring for the unit you have. starting at page 6
I am, however confused about the voltage requirements as reference to 12/240VAC with a note to check the "rating" plate
If your unit is marked as 240VAC then it should be a simple task for an electrician to wire up the power. The instructions/details are in the manual (link provided) to connect it up as a standard 3 wire system used in the UK
The issue you have is that the motor may not like running on 50hz and may run HOT. It will also run slower on the lower frequency.
The specs on the website are as follows:-
Electrical Requirements
30 Ampere, 120/240 Volts, 60 Hertz (1/second). AC-ONLY. USE COPPER WIRE ONLY. A FOUR-WIRE OR THREE-WIRE, SINGLE PHASE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY REQUIRED. A TIME-DELAY FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER AND SEPARATE CIRCUIT IS RECOMMENDED
It may be worth getting all details off the rating plate and posting back here...
My suggestion is that you consult a qualified electrician before attempting to connect the unit to the power
Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, red and black go to the outside terminals, white in the center and green goes to the cabinet. What I do is hook up the red, white and black, then I place the green between the terminal block cover and the frame and screw it in tight.
