The cause of the E74 Error might be overheating of your console and for avoiding such error messages in future you need to put your machine at an open space. Ensure that it is placed near the window or you can also make some external arrangement for cooling the console such as cooling the machine through a pedestal fan etc. But as your Xbox already have E74 Problem, You can either send your Xbox to Microsoft for repair ( just for your information Microsoft is no longer providing Extended warranty for E74 Problem), Microsoft generally takes 3-4 weeks to fix the problem. If you can't wait for a month (I know most XBox gamers can not wait without their favourite Gaming device), You can also fix E74 Problem yourself and that too within an hour without any technical knowledge. I would suggest you to check out the DIY Xbox Fix Guide for more information.

E74, 1light, and everythings fine but it's not working

ya it has to do with the solder on the gpu same thing that causes red ring of death causes the e74 when you had the guy check it out you should have had him reflow it and you wouldnt have this problem.
but none the less this is actually a serious problem and effects a few consoles, much like the RROD if it is not under warranty you can try doing this and i stress the not. Make sure of this by calling microsoft before attempting this. if you do not want to do the overheat fix i suggest either A. find a company that fixes xbox's and provides a real reflow. Not a heatgun and a fan. But a actual infrared reflow station. or B. Send it to microsoft and pay the money to get it repaired. or C. sell it on your local craigslist or to someone that repairs them locally and use the money to buy a new xbox 360 slim or a used xbox 360 that is working but then someone might have already done the overheat trick and it may not have much life left.(do not delete) utube.png

i have done this before and after he 2nd time i sent it to a company to reflow the xbox for 30 dollars. An i havent had a problem since. remember what is done in the video is only if your not covered under the extended warranty or e74

Black lines 1/8 of an inch apart going down my screen when playin

I had this happen a few times, then after a while it stoped working all together. In the end I was getting the E74 message code appear when I turned on my xbox 360.

You'll probley get this happen with yours soon, the E74 code means theres a problem with your visual display.

Sometimes it can be as simple as changing your HD Lead or scart lead, whatever your using. If you know someone else with a xbox try theirs.

If this doesn't work you'll have to send it off to mircosoft, it will be free if your still under warrenty, if not I think it's about £100+

Or you could go on www.cd24-7.co.uk and buy one of their DIY kits.

Hope this helps.

T-Mobile Wing Freezes & Restarts while texting

you can try to restart the phone. The only problem with that is that everything you have saved on ur phone gets deleted unless its on a memory card. What you have to do is turn off your phone then wait a couple of seconds then hold the power button along with the to line buttons by the green phone and the end call button. After you hold them down you wiil see a screen that will have some writing when that shows up you press the green phone button. After that it will restart but its going to take a while for it to restart. then when its done deleting everything its going to ask you to tap the screen the its going to ask you to do the align screen. you can skip the rest after you skip it the pocket pc page will come up and it will show you its installing everything when its done it will turn off and start up again. and there you go like new. if that doesnt help the you should go get it checked out..
