I imagine D:/ means DVD CD drive perhaps you to look and see if it has aded in the device manager if not load it again and even check the bios at the beginning.

Beep codes are unique to each brand of computer:
Compaq v2000
1 short with 1 long beep = bad bios. Must reload bios from disc.
2 short beeps = general bios failure

1) Check the brightness, and contrast keys!
2) sometimes, taking out battery, for 1 minute solve some issues.
3) bad inverter video.
4) select internal video, instead outside video (keyboard)
