My remote was different from the one that Trackcar 2365 posted so I came up with this. This will take off the PRO symbol without resetting all of your other settings. If your remote has SELECT and SYSTEM as options instead of ENTER and SETUP, then this should work.
Press SYSTEM Press DOWN arrow once Press RIGHT arrow three times Press SETUP once You should see the Menu screen. At the point you should use the LEFT arrow key to get back to the main system. The system will be in INTERLACED mode from that point.

hi zackmann37! I will be glad to assist you on this issue. 1st lets try to isolate the problem, unplug the power of you dvr receiver from the power strip or surge protector and leave it unplug for 1min. after 1min, plug in directly to the power outlet not on the power strip or surge protector. Why? some of the power strip does not give the 100% current needed by the dvr system thats why its malfunctioning, it gives the 100% power voltage but not the 100% current. then let the dvr reboot by itself once its rebooting you will see attention 015 then it will go on a progress until it download the programming guide and you got you tv shows, observe it until the next morning, leave the dvr plug in directly to the wall, now before you sleep, turn off the receiver by pressing the power buttonon the remote to turn off the green light. once you wake up in the morning, press the power button and the green light and the amber light will turn on and it will show your program, but if the problem still exist, you need to call on 1-800-333-3474 talk to dish tech support and tell them that you need a replacement receiver, you have a dvr lost of function. pls feel free to get in touch if you have any query

Have you tried to use a disc cleaner on it? If no go on that, you can also carefully clean the lens by opening up the unit and get the optical pickup (tiny lens) accessible. Then you can lightly and gently clean it with a qtip.
I own this model and do have the manual; however, standard AV and S-Video connections do not transfer progressive scan video images. If you hookup a progressive scan output to a non-progressive scan TV input, you will not get an image, so it is probably the way you have your machine connected to your TV that is the problem. If you are trying to watch regular TV through your machine, you will probably need to use a standard Coaxial Cable. I hope this helps.
Right, mine was stuck for a couple of weeks and i tried lots of different things. What worked for me was plugging it out and in again. Press the power switch and then just before the tv switches from normal mode to dvd recorder press the eject button. However, I pressed it a few time so not exactly sure which one worked. The burned DVD is now in a thousand pieces at the bottom of my bin! Good Luck!
Stuck in Progressive Scan Mode??? Remove the disc(s) from the changer, make sure TV is on Blue Screen...should say "Progressive Scan Mode".......Simply press and hold the stop button for 5-10 seconds and it will reset.
