Beater brushes sometimes work and very often not. Hoover WindTunnel bagless and beltless.
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Your problem is that you may need to change the belt every 4 to 6 months as a recommended belt change on the vacuum and also keep an eye on the brushes or brush strips, they also help in the vacuum working properly. Here is a typical belt change on a Hoover. Normally there are screws, clips or levers that would remove the bottom plate or if that does not work then the top cover will come off and that will expose the belt. Once that is off and the belt is exposed then cut off the old belt and then lift up the brushroll on the pulley end and install the new belt around the pulley end and re-install the brushroll. Then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bent right or left end to stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line and reverse you steps in the reinstall of the top cover or bottom plate. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How do you replace the beater bar belt on the hoover u 6626-900

It is not a "Beater Bar". Hoovers have brush rollers and are easy to replace. Turn the machine over and remove the 4 screws which hold the cover on, over the brush. Remove the brush roller. Slide the new roller through the small belt (self propelled models) and secure into slots (note: slots are different, match roller sides to correct slot.

When i vacuum the dirt and particles are not going into the windtunnel container-appears to be cleaning floor but isnt making it into the container.filters are checked and cleaned.less than 6 months old

If there is no obvious clog in the unit, you might want to check the beater brush and the drive belt. Be sure the belt is not broken and be sure the beater brush is free enough to rotate. If there is a broken belt it will be obvious.
I suggest you remove the beater brush and clean it as best you can, add some WD40 at each end by the brush holders and reassemble.
I would appreciate a Thumbs Up rating on this if you find my solution to be beneficial.

The suction is quite poor, also definite burning smell after normal use. we only have about 3 years would it be the engine

I would check the drive belts for the beater brush and make sure the beater brush itself is free to move in the holders. Clean the beater brush of all debris and add a bit of WD40 on the two ends between the brush and the holders.
I do not charge for my advice. : )

I have a hoover windtunnel v2 the brushes underneath wont turn ? its suppose to be beltless what do i do to fix this

Are you sure it is beltless? What model do you have? Looking at another manual there may be a seperate on off switch for the brushes but would need to know your model to be sure.

Auto brush on hoover windtunnel doesn't spin anymore

I have a Windtunnel S3765 with the same problem - and it has very little use so I'm confident it isn't wear. I find that the wheels do not raise the agitator brush sufficiently high to reduce the drag caused by excessive contact with the carpet. If I raise the front a bit the brush spins as it should. It also works if I take the housing apart and use it without ..... but this is tricky.

Unfortunately I haven't figured out a way to hold it up efficiently. I am toying with afixing something to the bottom of the housing to raise the front enough to give the brush a little more room.
