Lack of power

My tv start very well, but in around an hour began to lose power in the pixels. When this happen I can see the shadows or other things that was on display before I buy it. Can this lose of power be a cap problem, power supply or video card. I don't have another one to start a trouble shooting. Thanks for your help. Reinaldo Berrios

Check its main digital processing board. It has the fault. May need replacement.

Green shadowing

Sounds to me like the video board is bad. If it covers a good portion of the screen it is likely not the panel itself and rather something to do with the processing.

Phillips 42" flat screen ty

Well, I spent $20 on FixYa which did absolutely nothing and now and waiting for the Phillips to show up to take my TV to their shop (which alone will cost me $100 in itself) and wait for approximately 2 weeks to find out if the fix costs more than the TV is worth, in which case, I'll be out thousands of dollars, plus $20 to you, plus the Phillips charges AND whatever a replacement TV costs.

Did that answer your question?

Green dots on screen

Green dots on a LCD screen are burnt out pixels and unfortunately are incurable other than having the TV serviced at a high price. One of the reasons it is a good idea to get a warranty on these types of TVs is primarily due to this very problem....burnt out pixels.
