You need to remove the brew head gasket in order to get the screen out. Then you will see everything else. The brew head gasket holds everything in.

Any leaks aroung the portafilter is usually the brew head gasket. You just need to replace the gasket. The gaskets only last about 1 year so if yours is older that that, it needs to be replaced.
Remove the shower, then the 2 allen wrench screws for the diffuser, careful do not loose the spring ad valve seat that is above the diffuser, now turn machine on to see if water will come thru, if water flows, problem is either screen or diffuser blockage, if no water then you need a stronger descaler because blockage is in the boiler, at the solenoid or from the pump. Most likely in the boiler, if you have a boiler gasket go ahead and open the boiler to clear the blockage.
If it is the group gasket, remove the shower and diffuser, then using an ice pick or scratch Awl, insert into gasket and remove, it will come out in pieces.
Remove the shower screen and screw then try if water flows clean shower, if not remove diffuser screws and check spring and valve to make sure it is not blocked.
HI There are a few things that will cause this. Your SSR (solid state relay) is bad. Its on the bottom of the machine inside. If you can see a green light on it , its probably OK. You could have a thermal fuse on the side of the boiler by the heating element that is bad. You have checked that your water tank switch is working. Push down on the water tanks to see if your lights come on. Your heating element is bad. Your Computer is bad.
In the first months, we encountered low water to the brew head, although both the steam and hot water wands had decent pressure and flows.
Adjusting our grind, so that the coffee beans were coarser helped immensely--for awhile.
Then the problem gradually reappeared as an extremely slow brew time. Our machine was still relatively new, so we shipped it back to our place of purchase. It came back working just great and interestingly the filter in the resovoir was now filled with the filtering particulate it did not come with.
I am surmising, that however great the engineering is on the Isomac, manufacturing leaves something to be desired. Do not let your warranty expire. Pay the shipping and fix your otherwise great machine.
