I have an hp mini 210 netbook....it will not boot up...when I turn it on it goes straight to a black screen with a flashing c cursor....i try to ctr alt del to no avail....it will go to the startup menu.but when I try f11 for system recovery it just goes back to the flashing cursor....any help would be appreciated...thx

Screen/Motherboard/RAM/Graphics issue.

Take out ram, and turn on PC

if it Beeps, then most likely screen is the issue
put ram back in.
try plugging in an external monitor. see anything? is it all garbled? then it's the graphics.

You may have a bad memory slot.
Try with just one ram card in one slot at a time.

you will need the restore cdrom's to fix this issue. sounds like you the wrong upates! you should only updates that come from the sony web site for your particular sony item.
refer to sony tech support.

do you have a blinking cursor on the screen? if so, hardware issue - hard drive

hp mini screen is black after i turn it on...any suggestions?????

Again install the operating system

Download delete system but it in CD boot on CD Then Format ur pc again

If you were to load your Win System Disk on to a USB drive, that would allow you to re load Windows.
Just set the Bios to boot from the USB and when it has COPY the system disk onto drice C.
Re boot and set up from C drive.

Restart your computer, press F8, advanced boot options menu will be seen.
1> Select REPAIR and then STARTUP REPAIR.
2> If it does not works then again restart your computer and press F11. Use the internal recovery partition to format the windows partition of your hard drive by selecting SYSTEM RECOVERY.
3> If it fails to solve again, use your or order a set of RECOVERY DISCS for your system.
It will solve every issue............
On faliure again, contact HP support centre, or your nearest HP/Compaq service centre
