Your home button is stuck and needs to be free.
You have to open your PSP in the front face, and check the button and flex.

just open our umd door or do not close it properly(tightly) while playing games...........the home button will not appear again unless you close the umd door.......hope it work for you...
Sounds like the PS button might be broken or jammed. With a knife, try unlodging the button, but be careful you don't damage the PSP. If this doesn't fix the problem, you might want to phone up sony support.
