If your Canon A60 camera shows previously saved pictures in memory card in playback mode but does not show live view in camera mode than ccd imager chip in camera got defective and will be replaced.

Take a look inside your camera's CF card slot. I suspect that you may have a bent pin in there. If so, don't fret. Although professional repair would be more costly than the value of the camera, there is a very good chance that you can repair this yourself. Please see this link.

According to Canon's knowledgebase for the A60, it is compatible with CF cards up to 2 GB capacity.

I have the same problem... The composition of CCDs on several products of different brands have the same problem (heat and humidity will damage the chip). Contact a SERVICE CENTER OF CANON in your area and request instructions. They have to replace/repair their products free of charge to the customers.

Hi, I had the same problem and found that the a60 has a tiny battery located on the side where you input the AV wires.  It is a CR1220.  The only place I could find it was at Radio Shak.  Hope this helps.
