My TV plays for a little bit then cuts off, I wait for 15 to 30 min and it will go on again, then the same thing happens. I've had comcast in and they ck all the wires etc. replaced a splicer (I think thats the name)and the same thing happens. Thanks for the follow up...TV repair person said it was a $200.00 repair job and suggested that I would be better off to buy a new TV. Mine is 6 years old and with all the new things that are comming out...why not get a new one...

Thanks again,

Eagle

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

My tv cut off when it on for 15 min. what could be the problem?

rlaw_3, Could be problem with unit's internal "switch-mode-power-supply" which has developed a "thermally intermittant" solder joint on a active or passive component that could have been poorly soldered on the "solder reflow" production line all the way back at the Samsung production facility. You didn't tell me what happens if you try to do a "restart" after letting unit "sit" for half an hour!! Same thing happen? Is unit covered under warranty? Date of manufacture? Unit will need servicing to restore it back to proper operation. Before calling out the repairman, do a little bit of research on this model on the web to see if other owners are expreiencing same basic symptom as yours and what actions they have used to correct the problem. 12fixlouie

Rolling screen

Ahh the old rolling picture problem. If this set has a Picture in picture feature, your problem is on the PIP module itself. There is a kit of surface mounted capacitors that need to be replaced If you have some soldering skills you should be able to do this your self, but if you do not, I advise you to get someomne who does as most of these PIP modules are not available any longer. The kit can be purchased from http://www.mcminone.com/search.asp?keyword=Mitsubishi+PIP+kit&btnSubmit.x=6&btnSubmit.y=7 Good Luck
