You can get it get it from the manufacturer of the Computer or either from Microsoft.

I would suggest you to first conact the Manufacturer of your Computer and ask them for the activation key for Windows vista.

On certain thing I try To get on my computer,I get[symCUW has stopped working.Windows will close program&notify you if a solution is available] well I,ve gotten message for 2 mo now.Why can't windows...

Yeah thats why people hate Vista soo much,,, you got 2 choices ...

1.) use the system restore utility to restire it to a previous date before the error occured..
a. click start and in the search box type restore
b.) a new window will open scroll down and find system restore and click on it,, follow the on screen instructions and hope it works..

Or

Format the computer and reinstall everything :(

Id'd suggest you downgrade the computer to xp..

Problems with used Emachine W3623 Windows vista Home basic

Simply put, No.

Chances are the performance of vista on an eMachine is an ugly sight anyway. My advise would be to downgrade to XP or try a good solid Linux distribution like Ubuntu. It will preform faster and be more stable that it ever was with Vista. Don't get me wrong I am not a total vista hater but it is a hog.

Best of Luck

Window resume loader

Windows Vista doesn't shut down the machine by default when you press the power button. Additionally, if you look at the bottom of the start menu you'll see this:

6fe475d.jpg

The button on the left, highlighted here in bronze, does NOT turn the machine off in Windows - it suspends it, which requires power. When the battery runs down, the power goes out and you get this message the next time you start up.

Some laptops also indicate suspend mode by flashing the power light.

Happily, if you click on the little right facing arrow a menu pops up, one of the options of which is "Shut down" and this will bring Windows down properly and fully.

You can also change the function of the power switch (which defaults to suspend, NOT shut down) by going into the power options from Control Panel:

Selecting one of the above options will allow you to set the power button and closing the lid to turn the machine off fully, not suspend it.

I NEED A VISTA DRIVER FOR SONY USB DRIVER TRIED USBDRVEN.EXE BUT VISTA DOES NOT RECOGNISE CHEERS BILL

I dont know what a Sony USB Driver is so here goes with a generic solution.

Do a Google search with the following string:

Sony (model number) +driver +vista

This should bring up sites (including the Sony Support site) where you can download the driver (if it exists - Vista is still not well supported (12 months down the line) in the way of Drivers and Programs yet - one of the reasons I have reinstalled XP on my system!).

Good luck.

DX-UBDB9 Driver

I have the answer on how to get this to work.
First follow the instruction on this web site (http://www.security-hacks.com/2007/05/07/vista-disable-driver-signing-verification-in-64-bit) on how to turn off driver signing verification.

Second download the vista driver from http://www.cooldrives.com/wividrforprc.html and install it.

It worked under Vista and Windows 7.
