Called lasonic -  he told me to unplug it - wait 2-3 minutes and then plug it in. It should reset the unit. It did.

I was playing with settings on my Zenith xbv342 and set the menu to progressive scan. I now have a blue screen with the words "progressive scan mode" I cannot get a picture and it is stuck in this m

Progressive scan mode is used by DVD players to artificially scale standard resolution DVDs to HD resolution, usually 720i. Is your set capable of receiving HD resolution? If not, that is probably why you are getting the blue screen.

Very low volume

It seems its preamplifier is faulty. Mostly repairs are unfortunately not cost effective.

I need code(s) for my DVD Video, Model #: NB093 remote control to program my Philips DVD Player/VCR, Model #: DVP3345V/17. Can you please help me? I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a picture of it.

http://remotecodelist.com/remotes/magnavox/magnavox.htm lists the code for your device as possibly being 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005. Of course, you also have the option of using the remote controller's "Code Search" button. 25300580-iv4burzhkawezvl2jbah1xae-2-0.jpg With Codes:
Turn on the DVD/VCR unit directly. Continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Enter the four-digit code (1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, or 1005) for the DVD/VCR unit. The remote controller's light should go off. Press the remote controller's power button, & when the DVD/VCR unit turns off, then you will know that the remote controller has been correctly programmed.

Without Codes:

With the DVD/VCR unit on, continue to depress the remote controller's "Code Search" button for about ten seconds, release, & the light on the remote controller should stay on. Continue to tap the remote controller's UP or DOWN channel button ONLY UNTIL the DVD/VCR unit responds. Then, press the power button on the remote controller once the channel has changed. If the DVD/VCR unit shuts off, then press the power button again to turn it back on. If the DVD/VCR unit turns on, then the remote controller has been correctly programmed. Otherwise, repeat this whole process until the remote controller is correctly programmed.

I want to find a service manual for my RCA Blu-ray Home Theatre, model # RTB1023. It won't turn on with or without the remote control.

This unit has two problems.
One the fan is very noisy with a short time in use.
The Other problem is a capacitor in the power on circuit.
this capacitor shorts out the power button and needs to be replaced.

I forced my machine to work by unplugging the Rtb1023, continuously pressing the power button while plugin the Rtb1023 in, if it powers on test the temperature of the capacitor in the photograph, If it is hot replace with a 22uf 200volt electrolytic.

Be careful Hot temperatures can burn.

P.S. Unit was given to me got it working for under $5.00 including the new fan.

Will not turn on

It sounds like the VCR ate the tape. When this happened to me (with a different brand name) I took the top off of the unit and carefully removed the cassette and DVD.

USE CAUTION WHILE DOING THIS AND DUH!!! UNPLUG THE UNIT BEFORE REMOVING THE SCREWS!!!!!!

You should unhook the unit from the tv connections and take it to the table or other flat surface. While it is unplugged!!! remove the screws and remove the top of the unit. BE CAREFUL not to remove anything else!
Simply remove the cassette and DVD. Then plug in the power and make sure it comes on properly. Open the DVD tray to make sure it works also.
Then reconnect the unit to your tv and ENJOY!!
Trust me, it works... I've done it several times. I cannot promise that your problem is an eaten tape... but it sounds like it and when this happens 90% of the time, it triggers the unit to "turn off" due to a problem. Therefore, you turn it on and the unit turns itsself right back off!
I believe this will work for you :)
