Question about Apple iPod nano
When I plug my ipod into my computer, it doesn't show up anywhere. Neither in "My Computer" or itunes. I'm running Windows XP Professional. I've tried resetting and forcing it to disk mode, reinstalling itunes, changed USB ports, and all the other possible solutions offered by the help web site. It was suggested that I take it to an Apple store for repair. It still plays music and videos that are downloaded on it, it just won't sync up with itunes.I have more music and videos that I wish to install on it.

First off, simply press the center and menu buttons at the same time to reset the iPod video. That is the common way to fix a frozen iPod.
In regards to the Nano, sounds like the scroll wheel is defective. We would recommend replacing the scroll wheel if a reset does not do the trick.

try a firmware update. that should fix it, if not, put to factory default *caution:this means everything will be erased off the ipod* you can put it to factory default in itunes where it shows you ipod.

Have you tried reseting the player? if the problem is not solved, I think you may have a few faulty buttons or then the middle part is not touching the buttons on the circuitboard inside..

this is fairly common. its a setting. go to settings, very slowly and go to wheel settings or something similar and change the sensitivity.

you have to hold the center button and the menu button to reset it...if that doesnt work you will have to plug it into the computer and use the restore function on the iTunes
