Most likely you are using an older version of adobe reader. Upgrade to the adobe reader 8.12 at adobe.com and try it again.

Another possiblitiy would be that the .pdf file was created using a font that your computer does not have, or the installation of the adobe reader has been corrupted in some way.

Try uninstalling the reader and then reinstalling it again and see if the problem is resolved.

Also, try opeing pdf files that you have been able to successfully open before this, and see if you still can. if you find that you can stil view and print the older pdf files, then you may need to troubleshoot the location/machine where these PDF files were created, since then it would be most likely that the source of the problem would be at the source of this PDF file.

Also, depending upo the type of printer you use, it could be a conflict with the printer itself, try updating or reinstalling the printer drivers to the most recent as well. Power cycling the printer can only help as well.

The point of all this is to make sure all pieces involved in viewing, processing and printing this PDF file are updated as much as possible in order to eliminate those possibilities and narrow down the field of possible culprits until you are left with only one.

Outdated ActiveX controls have also been known to cause problems with viewing/printing Acrobat PDF files when using sharepoint services or some other web-based file sharing portal solution.

How can i print an adobe document

If you mean an Adobe PDF document then you can view and print it from the free Adobe reader program available from Adobe's website. If you've already tried this and are not successfully the PDF file may be locked to prevent printing it. You can't remove the lock in Adobe Reader but you could try printing a screen shot of each page.

ES9410 - PDF jumbled printing

Assuming you are using MS Windows then install FoxIT pdf reader which allows command line printing on Windows. Go to http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ to get it. Make sure your OKI printer is the default.

Once installed you can print using the command, from my dusty memory -

Reader.exe /p MyFile.pdf

I don't use Windows any longer, now exclusively Linux, so I might be mistaken.

I have the nec 870 for 10-years. Works great!!! Now it prinsts garble wihtout any print job. Turn it on. It prints garble. Help...

Turn your computer off.
Turn your printer on.
If it still prints garbled text, then it's time to responsibly recycle the printer, and buy a new one.

Try connecting the printer to another computer, to see if it prints correctly from that computer.

Printing pdfs with highlighted text/shaded areas

That just means that you don't have a postscript enabled printer, or possibly you're using a black and white only printer. You might be able to print highlighted items normally on other printers, but will have to remove the highlighting to see the text on the one that you have. Alternatively, if removing the highlights isn't possible, you might try selecting all the text and then pasting that into a new document in a word processor or another similar program. If you do have a color printer, and need to print what you're seeing, you can arrange the document so that it is centered on your screen and then press: "Alt + Print Screen" at the same time. You can then open MS Paint or a similar photo editing program and paste ("Ctrl + V") the screen capture into the program.

Let us know if you need further help.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

Garbled text

Did you just install it ? Sounds like a driver issue.
The only other thing I have seen cause that is software corruption. You can do a NVRAM reset from the screen.
But I would try restarting the machine first. Then go to the Xerox.com site and download a new driver before resetting the NVRAM memory.
It sounds like either the program you are trying to print from of the driver is the issue.
I bet you are printing out code.

Have you tried selecting the text, and then copying that text and pasting it into an Excel spreadsheet?

If the text is not selectable, using Acrobat's text selection tool, you will need the password to be able to access it.

Won's print pdf files

Trouble with the HP Laserjet printed output may be solved by using the following settings (or similarly named ones): "Use raster Graphics" (instead of "Use vector graphics"). This may fix the problem of "reversed" text (white on black background) not printing, as well as other problems. "Download TrueType Fonts as bitmap soft fonts" (select "bitmap" instead of "outline" or "graphics"). This may remove the overlapping of text on the printed document. "Graphics dithering" select "coarse" or "fine" (instead of "none"). This selection may improve the quality of images contained in the document. You can find all these settings in your printer properties. Go to File, Print, click Preferences, in Printing Preferences, click one by one all the top options, and change one of the top solutions, one at the time, checking your printing output. Always check if you have the latest version of Adobe Reader Program. If not download the latest version from Adobe, it's free. Is this the first time that you have the problem? or with the same printer (HP 4si), did you were able to print PDF files in the past?

make sure your fonts are loaded correctly and turned on.Try it with a open type font and see if this fixes the problem. Open type fonts are the new font type to use. try www.dafont.com and enjoy. as for the creating a proper print file without text reflow and a open type doesnot fix the problem. Your rip for the proofer might need the font loaded locally for proofing. or when you send make sure the option to send fonts for each page selected.
