I have recently bought a new asus P5G-MX motherboard with realtek
onboard HD audio. My system runs Win XP SP2 on core 2 duo 2.00 ghz, 1
Gb ram.
When I record from my mic., I get a very faint (practically no) recording even on screaming into it.
I updated to latest realtek drivers and Microsoft UAA, and tried every
option available in the audio properies and the audio manager of the
realtek driver, but nothing changes. Even installed a fresh OS, but of
no help. Tested the mic on other computer, it works fine.
Moreover, all the options except master volume are grayed/disabled in
the recording volume settings.
