You have connected the constant power (battery (yellow)) and the ignition wire (red) around the wrong way. this is a very common mistake that I come across and easily rectified. it should take you about five min to fix.
I hope this helped and please dont forget to rate my solution.
cheers

DEMO MODE STAYING ON

You should rewire it, if i remember correctly yellow wire should be connected to constant + (or directly to battery +) so the radio doesn't lose any settings when you turn it off

I have a KDC-PM445U kenwood stereo and the problem is that it won't play any music, on the display it shows that it's reading the iPod or CD but there's no music. But when I play the radio then it plays...

Firstcheck whether it is still in demo mode. to cancel demo mode -- press [enter]when message flashes "to cancel DEMO mode press ENTER key" for 10-15 secs. Turn the control knob to "YES" and press ENTER key. If it still fails to operate properly press the rest button to return to factory settings(The reset button is behind the front console)

Can not set clock on Kenwood KDC228 CD Receiver

I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to get the "Clk Adj" screen on the KDC-MP228. Here is the solution (dont waste your time reading the manual, it does not explain this). First, I had screwed up my settings so I did a factory reset (hold in the reset button). Then, you need to turn off Demo Mode (in standby click the Menu button and then use the control button to navigate to "Demo On". Hold the control button in to turn Demo on or off (this is different from all of the other controls in the manual). Now that Demo is off, click Menu button again and use the Control button to navigate through the options, one of which is "Clk Adj". At that point, you can follow the instructions in the manual (Hold in Control button until the clock blinks (approx 2 seconds), then use the FM/AM buttons to change the Hours and the << >> buttons to change the Minutes). Press the Control button again to save your changes. I cannot believe how difficult it was to set the clock on this device, someone should smack the developer who wrote that code.

The "Demo Mode" won't stop!!

Press the Source button until the unit enters Standby mode. Then press and hold the Menu button. Scrolling through the menu functions, you should come to one that says "demo". Turn it off by pressing and holding the 4-way knob.
