Leaking water from underneath machine

Had an engineer out to 'mend' machine, but next day it is still leaking - he is saying it is another leak - them being caused by scale build up - don't know whether he is telling the truth ...... can you advise if this is a common problem with this model? It has been regularly serviced on site, but is 5 years old now.

The machine started leaking from underneath. On examination the water is leaking from the water piston which pushes upward in the rinsing and coffee making cycle. Is this likely to be a broken seal and is...

I Have the same problem. I just opened the machine to analyze it... Took me a few days any many google searches to realize how to open it.
I put it to work while opened and I could notice water leaking from the water piston upper part. The one that actually moves.
I also noticed that while making a coffee the metal piece that holds the coffee inside the "coffe chamber" while making a coffee starts coming up. This causes a real mess...I assume this is a problem caused by the leaking piston.
Please let me know if you happen to find a solution...

Solis Master 5000 is leaking water from underneath machine when not in use.

HI
The most common problem for leaking underneath the machine is the boiler, but there can be other problems. If the water is dirty, there is a drain behind the brew unit that gets clogged with coffee residue, If its clear, its probably the boiler. If its the boiler it needs replacing. Check ebay.

The only thing that comes to mind is the drain behind the brew unit under the white plastic valve.

Water leaking from underneath water tank.

I rang Saeco service centre about my leaking water tank and they posted me a new tank - no questions or need to return the faulty item. I believe there may be a bad batch of tanks which leak because of faulty valves.

your problem may be in the watertank. I had that problem, and found out, the metalfeder fastened so it stayed open, after making a cup of espresso.
