Leaking water from underneath machine

Had an engineer out to 'mend' machine, but next day it is still leaking - he is saying it is another leak - them being caused by scale build up - don't know whether he is telling the truth ...... can you advise if this is a common problem with this model? It has been regularly serviced on site, but is 5 years old now.

Water leaks from bottom of washer a day after I've done laundry

My guess is you have a slow leak in the inlet. Probably somewhere after the valve. Try turning the valves off between washes. If that fixes it you know it's an inlet leak. There is usually a pair rubber hoses (same connectors as a garden hose) connecting the washer to the inlet valves. In order of ease/price of fixing:
  • one of the gaskets in the hoses is cracked ($0.05)
  • one of the hoses has a crack or isn't sealing properly ($10)
  • the valve outside the washer is leaking ($15 if you DIY, $150 for plumber)
  • The connector or valve in the washer is leaking ($20-$30 if you DIY, $$$ if you pay a repairman, $0 if it's under warranty)

Samsung WA82HAG water leaks while running the machine

WA82HAG water leak :
I have been using a WA82HAG top loading washing machine for 7+ years without any issues. Of late water had started to leak out of the drain pipe when the machine was in wash or rinse.
I contacted the customer care and was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism. The support personnel patiently listened to what I had to say. They even called back when the line got disconnected during the conversation! All details were asked for, expected cost estimate and technician visit time estimate was provided over the call.
The next day the technician arrived and diagnosed the problem to be a faulty drain valve. The rubber in the valve had become hard over time and was not plugging the drain correctly.
The following day he returned with the spare part, fixed it and demonstrated that the problem had been solved.
The total cost was Rs.300 for engineer visit + Rs.750 for the spare part.
Attached images of the replaced part. Black rubber can be seen in the second image.
I am completely satisfied with the how the issue had been handled. I will consider a Samsung washing machine if i plan to upgrade in the future.
Thanks Samsung!

Water leak

Sounds like a hose on the inside of the washer. Have you checked them? If all of them are tight and not leaking for sure. It might be the drain stopped up or a slow drain. The water is pumped out of the machine faster than just a drain, like on a sink does.

Ultimate care supreme leaks underneath

First check the hoses to the machine. If they leak the water follows the hoses and drips on floor. Also check the hose connection at the washer. They will leak inside. Next it may well be a water pump going out or the plastic hose that is under pressure when operating. The pump is in the middle of machine underneth - Sorry - Good luck

Water leaks from washer after rinse or draining

Hello, the most likely cause is the pump. Whirlpool's and Kenmore's are direct drive machines which means they do not have a belt. The pump is hooked up directly to the motor. To confirm this is the pump tip the machine back so that you can access it underneath. Make sure you wedge something underneath so it does not fall on you. Next take a look where the pump joins onto the motor shaft, this is where you will find the leak. This pump is a sealed unit so you will have to replace the whole pump. You can do this by removing the inlet and outlet pipes. Next with a screwdriver release the 2 clips holding the pump and remove the pump.....reassemble with new pump in reverse order. Good Luck!! If you have any further question's please feel free to comment. Mike

Water leaking from underneath water tank.

I rang Saeco service centre about my leaking water tank and they posted me a new tank - no questions or need to return the faulty item. I believe there may be a bad batch of tanks which leak because of faulty valves.

leak in the actual system, try running the car as it warms up and look underneath it too see if any water leaks out. Some water will seem to disappear if the radiator cap is worn out also.

It has to go somewhere!

its either
1) physically leaking out
2) leaking out through overflow/radiator cap
3) going through the engine (unlikely if its going through a lot quickly) check your exhaust to see if steam keeps coming out when warmed up (steam can come out on cold says and be normal)

remember as the car warms the pressure will rise, so the leak might not show up for a while and DONT open the radiator cap when the engine is hot!
