This is the second time the exact same thing happened.
It's caused by a coin getting into the drain, and after the motor continuously slams it into the inside of the drain assembly, it wears thin and finally cracked. Exact same 1/4mm spot both times.
I replaced the entire part last time. This time I'm going to repair it with 2 part epoxy as well.
I've just had this same problem and successfully fixed such problem. I had to set the washer on blocks and crawl underneath while the wife was turning the washer on spin cycle for a few seconds. After following the leak I discovered the drain pump assembly was cracked. Some epoxy and a day of curing / drying cut the leak out like a charm. I also went ahead and ordered a new drain motor while I was at it and installed.Good luck!Davejr021@yahoo. Com
