Kingston 512 mb memory problem

Hello, I have been using my kingston memory 512mb card with my camera for a while. There is lots of space yet to fill on the card but it now states 'card locked' when i try to take a picture. Nothing happens even if i take it out and try again.

Can you help me please?

Thank you, Sarah.

Why am I getting 'memory full' on my camera?

You've not mentioned the make of camera, nor the format and image size you are using, but 512 MB is actually pretty small if you are shooting large images, especially in RAW format (if this means nothing to you, don't worry !). The larger the image, the more detail is recorded, but the more space it uses on the card.
What I would suggest is that you either replace the card with a larger one, say at least 4 GB, or copy the images to your computer and re-format the card in the camera, so you can re-use it.

HI I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF MEMORY CARD SHOULD I USE FOR THE DC-T50 THANKS

Hi, The DC-T50 only takes regular SD cards up to 512 MB in space. Most cards that are sold now are SDHC, which are NOT compatible. If you can find a 512MB SD card, it should be extremely cheap.
Happy Shooting!

I have a KBV-MX motherboard and need to know if the 512MB Kingston memory (KVR400X64C) will be compatible.

Yes Kingston Kvr400x64c 512 MB will be compatible with your motherboard. The Ram form factor and speed supported by your motherboard are PC3200, PC2700, DDR266/PC2100 and DDR400/ 333/ 266, ECC, (non-ECC and ECC).
And the Kingston kvr400x64c 512MB is DDR 333 Non-ECC.

Hope this clears your doubts.

I just need to find a memory card everything is to big now! Where can I find a memory card for ViviCam 3750.

Hello,

Your camera takes an SD card with a maximum of 512 MB. You can still find them at many retail stores. On the internet you can find them at buy.com or amazon.com. If you use eBay, you can also find many.

Here is just a sample:

Also:

Thanks for using Fixya.

Z3 will not accept a 2g card

The Dimage Z3 accept SD cards up to 1GB (Minolta says 512 Mb, and sold it with 16Mb). This camera is 4MP , and uses less memory on card, therefore a 512MB card will be enough for it.

PNY Flash memory card - 512 MB SD Memory Card ...

RAM NOT DETECTING

I had the same issue on this board where it came with a Samsung 512 MB 533 MHz PC2-4200 DDR2 DIMM. I put in a 1 GB Kingston with the same specs (533 MHz PC2-4200 DDR2) and it would not recongize the Samsung anymore with the system reading as 1 GB of RAM instead of 1.5 GB. Tried every configuration and would only see the Kingston. It would only see the Samsung if I pulled out the Kingston regarless of the slots I use. So, I just bought the exact same make/model of Kingston and it recognized that fine and the system now has 2 GB of memory (max this board allows). And, I had already installed the latest BIOS for this board from Intel before doing all this so wasn't an old BIOS. I'm figuring the board didn't like something about the Samsung memory (speed, module configuration, etc.) that made it not play nice with the Kingston. If interested I bought the DM8400A/1G Kingston modules. And, this board appears not to support dual channel memory. Only has channel A, slots 0 and 1, and I read need two channels to support dual channel (seems obvious). Boards that supports dual channel memory normally have 4 memory slots, two for channel A and two for channel B, then put in matching modules in slot 0 for channel A and B and have dual channel memory access. And if want more ram, then matching modules in slot 1 for channel A and B.

Nikon Coolpix 4600: Problem: It won't take any photos, it reads: THIS CARD CANNOT BE USED. The card is 128 MB. I purchased a new card: 2GB but it won't work also. My manual says to clean the contacts...

1) Have you formatted the cards?

2) Try the cards in the card reader in your computer to see if they can be read.

3) Try the "switch off camera - remove and replace battery - switch on camera" trick with the original 128 Mb card in place. This will reset the camera's memory.

4) Note the type of card is important - not all cards can be used in a camera (especially some of the latest bigger ones) - check the type of cards supported by your camera.

I found this at the Nikon USA site (note that the 2 GB card is not listed - as said "Cards are not all the same" and use different drivers to operate them):

Question Which Secure Digital Cards are approved for use in the Coolpix 4600/5600? trnsp.gif Answer The Nikon Quality Department has tested the following cards and approved their use in the Coolpix 4600/5600:

SD memory cards:
SanDisk 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 256 MB*, 512 MB, 512MB*, 1 GB
Panasonic 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, 256 MB*, 512 MB*,1 GB
Toshiba 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, 128 MB*, 256 MB, 256 MB*, 512 MB

*High speed type of 10 MB/s or over

Other brands and capacities of cards may work, but Nikon cannot guarantee their operation. Check with the manufacturer of the third-
party card for compatibility information. Nikon recommends keeping one of the approved cards available for troubleshooting.
