Simply plug the camera into computer, depress video button, select "live". Here's the driver;

http://www.goaiptek.com/drivers/driverfiles/PocketDV51M.zip

and here's the manual;

http://www.goaiptek.com/manuals/manual-pkdv51.pdf

Unzip driver and select "setup.exe".

I keep getting the message...'Recording on disc disabled' or 'Drive Error"...just wondering if anyone knows how to fix this. The disc in the recorder is half used so I cant ec=ven look at what is...

Try reading the disc on a computer that has a DVD drive - should be able to detect what files are on it. If you can't record anymore, then the disc probably got "finalized" on the camera.

Does the whole disc have to be used to finalize the disc?

No, it doesn't, but whenever you chose to "finalize" the disc, you will not be able to add anymore video to that disc

The touch screen on my dcr-dvd108 will not respond anymore...

mine did the same thing, and i tried to reset it but that didnt work, my warranty had ran out and i didnt buy the store warranty,so i pretty much gave up on it as it still didnt work. well my wife got it and was determined to fix it. she saw some sand in the corner of the lcd, and took some paper and cleaned it out and now its working again! lol it was just a little sand in between the lcd and the lcd case causing it not to respond. try that or try some canned air to clean out the screen.

Panasonic dvr d 200 hand camera - the recorded disc doesn't play on regular dvd player

First I must say I have different camera, but in my case I must close the disc session from camera menu, so theat after it dvd could be played in dvd players and after it you can't record on that disk anymore. If you alredy know that, then sorry. I have a problem that some non-scratched in any way disks with data just don't respond at all, but that's another story. All the best.

Disable standby mode

i have a panasonic. its not the same kind as yours but i was trying to use it as a webcam as well and had the same issue. i read the manuel and it said that it goes in auto standby if its on pause for more than 5 minutes. so i figured id just take the tape out. its not on pause so it wont stand by. i didnt think it would make a difference. but it did. i can use it as a webcam now. hope this helps
