you have enabled your magnifier. thats why it happened. you can make it normal after closing maginfier by right clicking the magnifier icon place on your destop or tray where clock exist.

dear, then check that ur vga drive is installed properly or ur monitor is causing this problem. both possibilities can be happened. if your vga driver installation is doubtful then u have to reinstall it but first check if u can attach another monitor just for checking purpose. if the problem resolved then its b'coz of monitor and if it remains the same then u have to reinstall the vga driver.

Its my screen resolution that automatically changes each time I start up the computer and everytime I change it back it reverts to the giant size the next time

My desktop is magnified, too. There is no magnifier icon in the tray or desktop. The resolution is at the highest, as this was one suggestion. It was already there.
