Bought a foreclosed home with an ademco 6510pl3 keypad. No manuals left and no code. Is it possible to reset? I don't want to have it monitored, waste of money with all the false alarm fines.

This thing can't be reset,must have the original codes to used the system.Cancel the monitored service,when u all set to move in or sale it.Have to put in a new alarm system.

FC means failure to communicate, call your monitoring company to test your systems communication. If your system uses or used your phone line call on a cell phone so you don't get cut off when you system tries to call to monitoring company. gl
That's your manual. It's having a problem with "Long Range Radio Communication" If you have a cell backup, there's your problem. Not really a "check-able item" unless you are very familiar with security systems. call your monitoring company again and have them test the cell backup for faults. If you are paying for monitoring on "Their" system, make them fix it! if you are paying anywhere near 30 a month for monitoring, they better! or cancel the service and get a new company! If you still don't get anywhere with them, post a comment as to your location and I can find a "Good" "reliable" company that will help!
The 6148 keypad is a fixed english keypad. It is possible to program your system from a fixed english keypad, but it is very difficult. an alpha keypad shows text descriptions of the programming fields. The model number is 6160. If you are doing your own programming, I would suggest replacing the 6148.
When programming, you're programming your alarm panel, not the keypad. The keypad is just an interface to the panel. If you have a tan box in your basement or a closet, that is your panel. There will be a sticker on the inside of the door of the panel that will tell you the model of the panel at the bottom. It will say Ademco Vista 10, 15, 15P, 20, or 20P.

You have to run a system test. enter your code then press 5. If that does not work try entering your code then press 5 then 0. it all depends on system type. let system test run for about 2-5 minutes it sould reset. Ademco 6150 6150pl3 6150pl2 these identify your keypad model not system type.check your control box to identify your panel. Sould be like Ademco vista 10, 20, 20p
You may need a code to silence it, but you can try pressing the '*' key on the keypad. If it is only beeping when you exit or enter through a protected door, you can remove the magnet (likely drilled down into the top of your door(s)). If it is a low battery, you'll need to power down the system. To do that you will have to access the main control panel, pull either lead from the battery and disconnect the transformer in the house. If you have difficulty locating the transformer, go to your circuit breaker panel and shut down your circuits, one at a time, until your keypad's display is blank--track the circuit to locate the transformer.
