Question about IBM ThinkPad T23 Notebook
Hi, i am using ibm t23 laptop.while i try to play some dvds dvd rom not able to read and its displaying an error message "windows cannot read from the disk.the disk might be currepted, or it could be usinga format that is not compatible with windows".but when i try to play with my freinds laptops (they have sony vaio, dell and hp using same operating system as mine) it doesnt have any problem with the same disk.plz help me solving this problem.
Sounds like you need a DVD decoding software, ie... winvid, interdvd, and powerdvd. Windows media player will play some DVD's, but many DVD's, especially newer ones, need an additional decoder in order to work. You will be able to find the software at filehippo.com, download.com, or IBM's support site. Keep in mind that burning software, ie... nero, roxio, and dvd shrink, have decoders in order to burn the DVD, so they will work as a decoder in conjunction with your media player.
