You need to download and install the Audio Drivers; Here for XP 32-bit Here for XP 64-bit
Download and install the drivers according to your OS, and restart your machine. The Sound will be back again.

If i am right, it's nothing serious, perhaps your Bios battery has been removed or insufficient voltage. You can replace the battery. Regarding "floppy disk fail", enter the Bios settings and disable the "floppy boot seek", this will fix your problem. Still problem? do let me know. Good luck Thanks for using FixYa.

Given that this board was distributed with an AGP 8x interface, supporting Windows XP and processors up to P4 at 3.2 GHz, it is not likely that the motherboard is related to any issues with writing to a CD/DVD drive. It is possible there is some other issue, perhaps with the drive itself, or with the software being utilized to perform the writing functions.
