Put on drain cycle and see if water drains.
put drain hose down at floor level into a tray
crack filter open and drain into a tray
if machine not draining, you may find filter blocked or a foreign object in the pump impellor

How do I stop mid cycle and open door. I think

Do not open door if filled with water, you will regret it. If you must open the door mid cycle and there is no water in the machine, switch machine off and wait for the door lock to release. Over filling can be caused by a fill valve not closing or blocked / faulty preesure switch.

Sounds like a control pcb malfunction. Remember that you are dealing with MAINS Voltages which can be lethal.
Never continue to use a machine that floods or enables random water release for any reason. The end result might be Electrocution, and it is certainly not worth that risk

Even when not programmed to the washer/dryer fills up with water?

Check the water inlet valves, located where the water lines plug into the machine. Also check for proper water pressure and make sure that your water pressure is not surging. If this help please rate. Thank you

The ZANUSSI WJS1397W unable to open door handle is floppy

Hi, You can just about get your hand inside the machine and down the front of the machine if you push the drum back at the same time. You will be able release the door lock if the pnuematic lock is not stuck open! If this is the case then you will need to pull off the hose on the bottom of the door to relase the lock be fore any attempt is made to relaese the door catch from the lock. Once the hose is off then you can open the door. But you will need to change the air chamber that is the big plastic chamber that sits in the front of the machine that the pump connects to as it will be full of scale from the water and they cannot be cleaned out. You will find that the machine will be more efficent and will spin dry the clothes better as your machine is and has been filling up to much with water.
Good luck and let me know if this helps..

Water leaks

I had similar issue. Fill tube running from the bottom of detergent tray to the washer drum was plugged.... (by a sock!!!). How did it get there? I'll tell you. You see the drum seal (around the inside of the door) is not a tight seal. You can actually reach up behind it from where it meets the top of the drum. Anyway in my case, a sock made it's way through that seal and outside the drum and into the drum containment vessel. So when the drum spun (to dry the clothes and empty the water) it made a terrible noise. The sock became lodged at the base of the fill tube opening and plugged it thus not allowing any water into the drum. Instead, when filling, the water just flowed out from the bottom of the detergent tray and onto the floor. I hope this helps.

Washer Dryer - drum is filled with water even when switched off and door can still open!

Try the valves inside the back where the water hoses connect to the machine they should default to the closed position when water is not required

Washer fills wont spin out or drain water

I had the same problem. After releasing the door and removing the wet clothes, I siphoned the water from the drum. Make sure that the water is turned off and the machine is unplugged, Then I opened the large black cap behind the round white cover on the surface. Be prepared to capture about half galon of water. This is the opening to the drain pump. In my case, there were some toys from my kids which had stuck in the turning part of the pump. I removed them and replaced the cap to the pump. Everything seemed to be OK after that.
I hope that this helps. Please be adivsed that I am not a repair person and proceed with caution and use common sense when dealing with electric appliances.
Good Luck
