0 to 3 pounds is normal. Much higher than 3 pounds would most likely be a weak compressor. A vaccum would indicate out of freon/leak or a restriction.

Code on 2010 Enclave about the cooling fans running all the time while engine is on.Code is refrigerant pressure sensor cicuit low voltage. # is P0532-00.Does anybody know where sensor is located

DTC P0532: Air Conditioning A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
The sensor gets 5 volt ref. voltage from the ECM - engine control module . Three wire sensor , all wires are to an from the ECM .

Circuit/System Description
The engine control module (ECM) monitors the high side refrigerant pressure through the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor. The ECM supplies a 5-volt reference and a low reference to the sensor. Changes in the A/C refrigerant pressure cause the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor signal to the ECM to vary. When the pressure is low, the signal voltage is low. When the pressure is high, the ECM commands the cooling fans on. When pressure is too high or too low, the ECM will not allow the A/C compressor clutch to engage.

Circuit/System Testing
Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
Ignition OFF, test for less than 10 ohms between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
? If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
Ignition ON, test for 4.8-5.2 volts between the 5-volt reference circuit terminal 2 and ground.
? If less than the specified range, test the 5-volt reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
? If greater than the specified range, test the 5-volt reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
Verify the scan tool A/C High Side Pressure Sensor parameter is less than 0.1 volts (1 psi).
? If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit terminal 3 for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
Install a 3A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 3 and the 5-volt reference circuit terminal 2. Verify the scan tool A/C Refrigerant High Side Pressure Sensor parameter is greater than 4.90 volts (425 psi).
? If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
If all circuits test normal, test or replace the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.

Do you know difference between high an low side lines ?
between alternator an the compressor

Low side pressure at 88 high side 600

Condenser fan not running, condenser plugged with dirt or grease, over charged with refrigerant, refrigerant metering device plugged or failed, air in the refrigeration system, extreme temperature around the condenser, mixed refrigerant charge.

Low pressure on suction side and no cooling

If your running 134 a your short of gas
if your running 404a your short of gas
check the super heat it should be 5 ktd

Not cooling, compressor is running but both lines are warm. fan is running also.

Check refrigerant pressure, if below 0psi (hg), need refrigerant, if not work before you charge up to 1.8 to 3 psi may be you has an escpape in the condensor internal lines, you can do this with 3 in 1 valve to refill and check the low pressure side

Where is the low pressure ac valve?

FOLLOW THE REFRIGERANT LINE LEADING FROM AC COMPRESSOR TO EVAPORATOR TO THE BACK FIREWALL LOOK FOR REFRIGERANT LINE WITH BLACK OR BLUE CAP THATS LOW PRESSURE SUCTION SIDE..WHEN HANDLING REFRIGERANT WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES TO KEEP REFRIGERANT GETTING INTO YOUR EYES.WHICH CAN CAUSE BLINDNESS OR DAMAGE EYES.YOU NEED A LOW AND HIGH PRESSURE GAUGE.OR MANIFOLD GAUGE SET.LOW SIDE PRESSURE SHOULD BE 28 PSI AND HIGH SIDE SHOULD BE 200 - 220 PSI.

that back pressures sound high to me and the hi side sound low may have a bad compressor not pumping right should run around 0 to 5 low 125 to 150 hi hope that helps

What is the high and low side pressures on the 134A compressor of my amana side by side refrigerator / freezer?

Good day,
The low side (suction pressure) is pretty nominal at 2 to 4 lbs.
The high side should range from 120 to about 14 lbs. depending on load and ambient temperature.
This would be after 15 minutes running time. Doors closed. Rear panel on as well as can be attached with gauge hoses protruding.

MY AIRCON OUTDOOR MODE IS ON...AND ITS NOT COOLING

Apparently the outdoor fan is on.
Verify that the compressor is on.
Could be a bad capacitor or a bad compressor or justb a bad wire.
Check the refrigerant charge.
Low refrigerant= no cooling.
If the compressor is running refrigerant pressure on the low side (suction side)should be at least 68 pounds of pressure.
