I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... On the Fleck 5600 the timer motor also serves as the drive motor. It is on the back side of the control in the upper left hand corner. Reset the time of day and see if it keeps proper time. If not the timer motor needs to be replaced. If the control is an sxt model the circuit board may be bad from a power surge.

I just bought the canon rebel xs and every picture that I take has a black spot "burned" into the picture. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Or should I just return the camera?
Sounds as if there is a fleck of dirt on the rear lens element. While in the house (to minimize dust and dirt) remove the lens and look at the rear of the lens see if there is dirt there. If so clean it gently with a soft lens cloth not a facial tissue. Reinstall the lens, if the dirt is still in the same spot return the camera because I suspect the dirt is on the sensor and will need to be cleaned.

Unplug the machine

take the lower front panel off two screws, on the back of this panel or on a side panel should be a small plastic bag with tech support, when you find this it may have the definetions of the F28 code. proceed with diagnostics.

Flakes of dirt on washing
Is this perhaps a second hand machine or it has possibily been stored away for some time? When a washer dries out inside ( behind the washer bowl ) and is then put back in service, dirt from years of use caked on insides flakes away ( like a dry leaf crumbles) and re-enters the wash and can end up on washed clothing. The only way to stop this is complete removal of washer bowl , scrub and clean insides to remove caked on dirt - reassembly. problem fixed !
