What to do on my dryer wen drum do not spend

If you hear a buzzing noise when its on then most likely its the motor went bad.. Or you can open up the back panel to see if it has a belt that turns the drum and check to see if the belt is slipping.

Tub won't turn belt broken ,how do you replace belt?

You can remove the lower panel below the door and see the motor and belt. To replace the belt you need to unscrew the front panel and slip the belt over the front of the drum. Reattach the top front panel with screws and loosen the tension roller from the front bottom access panel. Hook the belt around the motor pulley and tension roller. Tighten the tension roller and turn the drum by hand to make sure there are no restrictions and the belt and motor pulley are turning. It is best to inspect the drum rollers on the bottom of the drum to make sure the rollers have no play in them. If you can wiggle the rollers front to back replace them too. Replace the rest of the panels and check the units operation.

Heating but drum does not turn

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley. If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine. Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer. Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum. Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn. While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them. I will include these two websites for parts and further help:

GE model DQSR483EE1WW. This is what I know so far: the switch on the door works so it shouldnt be that safety, it is getting power because the light work and the timer at least buzzes like its working,...

Try looking for a broken belt. (electrical interlock prevents starting with broken belt) Disconnect power, open door, remove two phillips screws which go from top of door opening into dryer top. Swing top up and back. If belt not present going around drum, that's your problem. Remove one screw from side panel to front panel on each side (near top) and lift front panel forward and off the bottom pegs. Set the front panel to the side (leaving door switch wires attached) so you can slip new belt around drum. Reach under drum to put belt WE12M29 around drive pulley and around tensioning pulley. (grooved side of belt touches drum) Put front back on dryer and manually rotate drum a couple revolutions to make sure belt does not come off before closing up top and reconnecting power.

Drum does not turn, not very old ,cannot access inside

Sounds as if you have a broken belt.
If your machine is a front loading machine, then you would normally access the belt by removing the front of the machine.
This will expose the drum and belt, if you remove the drum, then it will expose the rollers, idler arm with pulley, and motor.

I hope this helps

Gas dryer gets hot but the drum doesn't turn. Broken belt?

open the door to the dryer and inside the rimof the door there is a switch, puch the switch in and with the oppisite hand puch the start button on the dryer. if the drum does not spin then you know its the belt. Pull Lint vent out if top mounted and remove the 2 screws, Between the top of dryer and the front panel, stick a putty knife roughly 3 inches from the side of dryer. There are locks that you will unlock with putty knife. once top is removed at top corners of front panel inside you will find 1 swcrew on each corner, and pull off front panel, slip new belt in and start putting things back together.

Motor is running but not turning drum to dry the clothes. We removed the back of dryer to see if maybe belt slipped or broke but can not see any belts and do not want to start removing a lot of screws...

Look from the rear, near the bottom. The belt wraps around the drum, and near the bottom is a tensioner that keeps tension on the belt. If it is broken, you'll see it laying on the floor of the dryer.
