The cable coming from your monitor goes in the blue or white port, the network or ethernet cable goes in a large phone plug, the speaker cord goes in the green port and the power cord for the computer goes in the black port

Not sure where to put the reset SW and the pled- and pled+ cables and the motherboard

Under the CMOS battery there is a group of pins (orange), and if you read the tiny letters next to them you will see PWR, Reset, HDD, etc.

My PC with 865PE Neo2-FIS2R doesn't boot on SATA HDD... It actually runs windows server 2000. but after an unexpected power shutdown... the pc always boot on Managed PC Boot... upon checking on the Boot...

Hi Good day!! well i think your board didn't detect your HDD for some reason:
1. unexpected shutdown
2. cable not properly connect in HDD to motherboard
3. HDD have been damage because of improper shutdown.

here are the step to detect your HDD
1.pull out your cable from the HDD and then re-insert it make sure it its inserted properly.
2.go to CMOS and then in the "MAIN menu" check the primary master, primary slave, etc. in the primary master your HDD should be detect there. if not enter your primary master for auto detecting.
if nothing happens and still not detected you must replace the cable of your HDD.

Pls. Reply to help you more

Cables on motherboard

These are the cables from the front panel of your computer.
power/reset buttons, led light from power on button/hdd activity etc.

The manual for your motherboard will tell you where they go.
They fit on the two rows of pins, usually at the bottom left corner of the motherboard,
I agree with you, they are very fiddly and the manual is not usually very clear how to attach them

I need assistance with the front panel cables (Power, HDD, Reset etc)

Hi,
On your motherboard power is setup like so:

10 9 8 7 6 (no pin on 6)
1 2 3 4 5

1- HD_LED_P
2- HD_LED_N
3- RST_SW_N
4- RST_SW_P
5- RSVD
6- No pin
7- PWR_SW_N
8- PWR_SW_P
9- FP PWR/SLP
10- FP PWR/SLP

you have 5 connectors from the chassis' front (with cable colors):
-P LED (white)
+P LED (green)
HDD LED (yellow/white)
RESET (white/blue)
POWER (orange/white)

You just insert cables according to these nos. Do this job carefully that's why i am giving you full details about cable and its colors.

Regards

Ashly
