Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

1 Answer

Flashing loading sign on window.

When I plug in the machine the flashing loading sign appears. The machine will not respond to anything. I have no reset button and have unplugged and plugged it back in a number of time to see if that would get it out of the loading mode. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi I would like a little help to update the firware dvd blu ray bd 8002 Marantz tell me how should I do? thanks you.

Hello
Enter these sites for fudate your Maranz.

www.buyblurayplayers.com/firmware-updates/how-to-update-your-firmware

www.avforums.com/.../765663-marantz-firmware-updates-sr7002.html - United Kingdom
softwaretopic.informer.com/firmware-update-tool/

I'll ge you some hints also

Open the Internet browser and navigate to the Marantz.com website. Select "Products," then choose "DVD Players."

Select the DVD player you are currently using, then select "Manuals and Downloads." This lists all of the available updates for the Marantz DVD player.

Click the software update to download to your computer system

Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on the computer, then click "Start," "(My) Computer," then double-click the removable device icon. A window loads with all of the files stored on the flash drive.

Click-and-drag the software update into the open window, then close the window, right-click the removable device icon and select "Eject."

Disconnect the flash drive from the computer once the icon disappears.

Plug the USB flash drive into the USB port on the rear of the Marantz DVD player, then power on the device. The software update will upload onto the DVD player. A prompt on the television screen appears once the update has finished.

Continuous flashing loading

Same problem here. Nothing seems to work... Pressing any key makes no difference. Disconnected the power - nothing.

Not responding after flashing "loading" for 1 minute then get message R-Lk --:-- on display

Hard drive issue or power supply. Power supply prone to bad capacitors (look for leakage/swollen tops)
If hard drive faulty you'll need a new one which is no small task. Disk contains firmware and custom file system and smallest I've got image is 10.7gig

Dvd eject button does not respond

Had a similar problem after loading a suspect dvd (one I had buned myself) Could not do anything - stuck at loading.
Try this :
  1. Unplug and wait 10 seconds
  2. plug it back in and wait 1 minute. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS!
  3. With the machine still in the standby state, press eject on the REMOTE. It should eject without trying to read the disk.

Good luck. It worked for me.

DVD Recorder stuck on "loading"

That's exactly the same problem as I have, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Used to solve it by turning off at the plug and restarting. Now won't load up at all though. I love the machine - when it works - it just isn't very often!

Unit in constant Loading state

Same problem on my JVC DR-DX5SU. Says "loading..." and will not respond. Factory solution is to quickly unplug and plug / or unplug for several hours and plug-in. I suspect that is to cold start and clear error flags. Did not work for me. I looked at the power supply board (immediately behind the DVD drive, on top of the hard disk). I noticed one capacitor was "bulging" on the top. See photo. Electrolytic caps should never be bulging - if anything, the top should be slightly concave.Cap was SAMXON 1500uF,10V,1400mA ripple - I suspect either voltage or current ripple spikes were exceeding its capability. Replaced it with a Panasonic EEUFR1C182 (Mouser.com), 1800uF, 16v, 2470 ripple current, to give it extra margin. Runs correctly now.1_30_2013_1_21_49_pm.jpg
