I'm getting the same problem, only it worked fine for 2 years. The computer flashes a window about unidentified USB, but if flashes off before I can finish reading the inscription.

I have a Dell 9150 with dell keyword, and occasionally when I leave my office for the day and don't log out, I come back the next day and am greeted by a black screen. Normally, pressing Enter "wakes up" the system, but several times I've noted that when faced with the black screen (system sleeping?), no keyboard combination fires up the session (if left in a logged in state), or fires up the login dialog (if left last in a logged out state). Above the Insert key, I do see a little Lock symbol with a '9' in it, but hitting Caps lock on and off does nothing. I have to power down the system to get it to come alive again-- Anyone have any ideas?

Keyboard connectivity

Normal 0 Assuming that you have good batteries installed, turn the Keyboard over and locate the small reset/connect button on the back of the keyboard and press it. Then try to see if it is working. If not try pressing the button on the receiver and then on the keyboard. Try typing, should work okay.

Also to Rest/Connect the mouse, turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps. Bud

Connection

There is usually a "Connect" button on the devices (Mouse & Keyboard) and on the receiver the unit connected to the computer. Hit the "Connect" button on the receiver then the ones on the Mouse and Keyboard.

Hopefully that works...

If not comment back.

Have you tried re-setting the frequency for one of the devices? simply click the button on the infra-red unit then click the button on the back of keyboard and notice the infra-red unit stopped scanning.
