Viewsonic V36 PocketPC

This is my first PDA. So far so good. Connecting to my laptop is a problem
sometimes using ActiveSync, but other than that, I like it. I was wondering
what others thought. I have about $200 in it after rebate. Can't beat the
features for the money. How about it? Did I make the right choice? I may
trade up later. What do you suggest? Thanks.

It doesn't matter what I think, I'm not using it. The thing that matters is
are *you* happy with it?

As Alan said, if you like it, then that is all it matters.
I recently bought the V36 also for $200 after the rebate.
I like it very much, lighter and thinner than my previous Toshiba Maestro,
and with exchangeable battery on top. The Maestro suddenly died.
I like the fact that the V36 has a bright screen at even the lowest setting
of the back light, plus is very visible with sunlight.  The more sun the
better.  Just ordered a 512MB SD, should be here any minute.
Try loading Informant 5.0, it is much better than the built in program.

Generally, I like the unit. Not as solid feeling as my previous iPaq
was, though. I do have a problem with it, though. It keeps on locking up
on me for no apparent reason, requiring lots of soft resets.

KMS,
For the money, its close to impossible to complain about the ViewSonic V36.
It seems to be a good unit.
If you upgraded at a later date (Maybe to Windows Mobile 2004 when it
comes out) and used something like a ipaq 2215, you would notice that it
feels more solid, has a brighter screen that works well in direct sunlight
and about 50% faster.

But for $200, you have a good unit !
