Re: Maytag electric range will not work
You have a house power promblem turn off the range at the breakers and start at where the cord connects to the range check it there then go back to the breakers all the eyes are on their circutes so it has to be at the power source feeding them

This is easy simply call Maytag and provide them with the model number (usually located in storage drawer or broiler drawer) the and serial number. They will email it directly to you within minutes free of charge! The phone number is 1-800-688-99900
an electric range needs 220 volts for top burners and oven to work,if getting only 110 volt the display or clock will work.the most common problem i've found with your curcumstances is a burn't wire where the cord attaches to the range or if hard wired still the same place.pull out your range and inspect all wiring where range connects to house and where house connects to range.if ok take a volt meter and meaurse voltage there at cord area .if not 220 volt reading problem will be with the house.if yes 220 volts will need to trace out the range .then the problem at a place the cook top burners and the oven have in common, wire path wise.
You said, you went to set the timer while baking a pizza and I got a "set or en" on
the display of my Maytag Gemini Ceramic Top electric oven. How old is the range? And the model number?
Threat it like an error code. This can reset the system. Turn the breaker off to cut the power for 5 minutes. Then restart the breaker and try the range. It's like rebooting your computer when its acting strange! Usually it corrects some error problems if they are not serious. Or they are sometimes just a glitch.
If this does not remedy the problem, then the switch itself is bad. Let me know how it works out. Huuum, Please remember to leave a rating
