Have got a brand new S50 Navman and am unable to connect to my mobile phone via bluetooth. The brand of mobile phone is F850 ZTE. I am in Australia and the phone is bluetooth capable, i just can't get it to connect.

Passkey is created by the user & not by the manufacturer,if ur phone is unable to connect via bluetooth try doing factory reset.

Resetting your phone will wipe out your data, so be sure you have it recorded elsewhere.

You will need to update your navman firmware
If it is a old model gps check the navman site for compatability.

The Nokia 6600 is not fully compatible with the S50. Check the Navman website for the bluetooth compatiblity. That model is not listed, Navman do state that not all features are possible.

you need to pair your mobile to your navman through your bluetooth, then it will ask you to type in a piar number it should be 1234 and then it will work.

The N95 is a fairly new phone and the S50 was only launched on the market in 2007. That phone is not listed as being compatible on the Navman website. Try and see if there are any updates via Nokia. Otherwise the 2 are just not compatible and there is no solution. Each company can alter the bluetooth settings, some companies use a standard connections and others a more complex connection.

I have been able to pair the navman with nokia, samsung, and sharp phones, but I haven't been able to pair the ZTE 252 with the navman. Personally I think this is due to it being a cheaply manufactured phone.
