Question about Sony Projection Televisions
I have a 58" wide screen projection tv. Last year we had a tech. come out because we had a rainbow going across the screen. He did a minor adjustment and fixed the problem. We have the rainbow again and the screen goes solid light green where you can't see anything. Can't I replace the part with your guidance?
On a projection tv as these guys just guessing there is no tubes in side a tv like yours same as mine there is 3 liquid filled bulbs and one big arse mirror your problem will be one of the bulgs leaking, blown,or just failed these are roughly 30 to 80 dollars each u wont have a circut board problem t will not cause this only the bulbs will and on a projction u can put speakers close as u want

IF this is a projection tv of tube nature, you need the projection tubes degaussed. IF it is solid state, you have circuit board problems and that can get expensive...if not impossible when compared to the price of a new TV. BE very carefull of speaker placement near these tube if it is a projection tube type...get the speakers away from the sides of the tv, Turn it on and off several times. (it degausses itself everytime it is turned on)..and see if you see a lessening of the effect...if you do, then with time, this will go away.
Hope this Helped. -CA
