Take the memory card out of your camera. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
Use the menus to un-write protect the card, or look for a switch on the card to switch between write protected and no write protected modes.

Inspect your SD card carefully. Some SD cards come with a write-protect lock switch on the side of the card. When looking at an SD card from the top there is one required notch on the right side (the side with the diagonal notched corner) and on the left side there is usually a switch. This is the write-protect switch. When this write-protect switch is in the down position (away from the end that is inserted) then it is write protected and read-only. When the switch is in the up position it is write enabled.

Take your memory card out and look to see if you may have moved the sliding switch on the memory card, if you have move it back.

Take your memory card out of the camera and switch the position of the little "lock" tab. That should fix it and you can start saving images.
