Have you attempted F8 upon the system booting to see if it will allow you to boot into safe mode?

I have a Foxconn sis-661 motherboard and am wondering what is the max size of hdd i can run on it 1Tb-2TB?? thanks guys

Hello the home page is here:

The mainboard is not limiting the size of the harddrive.
But windows does.

You heard correct in relation to the 2TB limit.
The root of this is Windows XP x86 is MBR only meaning that the limitation is to do with MBR
Disks exceeding 2TB must use GPT which extends the limit significantly, however Windows XP does not have this support currently.
A 32 bit version of windows generally will only see the protective MBR on a GPT disk.
Information on Windows Disk support can be found here:

Or course, that being said, I have seen external drive manufacturers combining a GPT loader in with their drives which will allow Windows XP x86 I/O on a drive greater than 1TB, this may be the case in your situation. The GPT loader I have come across is called Paragon GPT loader. I would imagine this would cause lag on I/O as it is another stack process.

You will need a new operating system/computer (Yours is from 2005)
to use very large harddrives.

Hope this will help you

Foxconn 845GV4MR-ES Lan refuses to work

Have you installed the correct drivers for this mobo? You can get them here:

I've used these with XP Pro and everything works. You have to install the chipset driver before the others. Also, do you have the onboard network adapter enabled in the BIOS?

Intel 2.8G\400MHz problem

I would agree that 50% of the time you may get away with putting a working Hd with windows on it to run when changed to another board. When you change your motherboard, there are certain entries in the system registry that are looking for the components of the old motherboard. If the registry does not find these components, the system can become unstable.
The fact that you got windows to some what start is a good sign for the Hd. Try setting the CD as first boot device & have your windows XP in the drive. Do a format & install. I'm sure windows will install. Since you have three boards all the same you will only have to do this once. Foxconn warrants all Mb for life. You can always call at 580-272-0035
