If the refrig light AND the temp adjustment knob lights , went out , you need to replace the electronic board . Pt # W10135090 . This part is located behind the refrig , at the bottom left , with 2 screws , inside a white box . The board runs about $ 80.00 , and is easily replaceable .
you need a new control board, this is very common, especially if the bulbs on thr refrige side blow out, this creates a surge and ruins the control board $85.00 w/shipping at appliance parts pros or 1-877-477-7278
depending on age of unit, the problem may lie in the light bulb, well the door closing anyway, the newer unit s actuall will shut down all interior lights, in the evnet that teh door is left open for more then 2-3 min, so its possible that a light switch is not being activated so the uit thinks the door is open and has shut down the rest of lights, cooling however does continue normally.
your problem on this is the main control in the compressor compartment. unplug your refrig then remove this control unplug all connectors and reconnect. this will probably get you working temporarily In almost every case I've seen we ended up replacing the control board. thx peyton
flickering noises??? are they working at all. or are tehy flickering on/off along with the noiise. id be willling to bet that if you removed the back panel from behind the refrig, youll find a control board mounted on the left side(when lookin at from behind) alongside the compresssor assy in a white box. if thats the case that, that there is a board there and your lights are not functioning and you hear "chattering" when the doors open you have a faulty board, look up via model number and replace it
you didnt include the model, but i would assume that the "control panel lights " are also out??, and a clicking noise when the refrig door is opened??? if so you have a bad electronic control board. its located behind the refrig on the left hand side munted inside a little white box next to the compressor,
