Make sure that the audio is disabled on the bios settings. If it isn't turn it off and reload drivers. You may have two sound cards running on your computer causing the problem.

Code 12 SB0570

Hello try to find the newest driver here:

http://support.creative.com/kb/showarticle.aspx?sid=61105

Or here by selecting the model:

http://support.creative.com/Products/product_list.aspx?catID=1&CatName=Sound+Blaster#

You may have to disable the build in soundcard on the mainboard, in the device manager when you install the driver for the creative sound card. Here could be a conflict between these to this is maybe why you have the code 12.

Here is some info about the code 12:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732199%28v=ws.10%29.aspx

I know it`s probably not your windows system, but the fault is basicaly the same.

Good luck

Hy, I have your mainboard AsusP4S800 vith soundMax digital audio we are conect game pad in the game port but he is not worked. In the control panel we have not driver for this hardware on Asus board....

This is your board:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_478/P4S800MX/#download
Unfortunately Sound Max is no longer available and you may be able to find the driver at the Asus site I gave you. It would only work for the version of Windows your system came with and, I can't guarantee that. Your easiest and best option at this point, would be to upgrade to a PCI or USB sound card. You can use something like this:
http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-XFi-Surround-5.1/M/B0044DEDCA.htm
Which is a USB card or, something like this:
http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-Audigy-SE-PCI/M/B000LP0R3E.htm
There are others available:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100009293%20600011977&IsNodeId=1&name=PCI
Any of these sould work for you and, in the long run, you will be happier with an added card.
Good luck,
Dave

The laptop does not play any sound. It tells me no audio device has been installed. It has the yellow warning mark in Device Manager. When I try to update the drivers, it runs and tells me I already have...

In the past when you did have sound, if you did, do you remember who the sound software was from? If you look in "device manager" under "sound audio and game controllers", does it show anything? If you have a speaker icon in the lower right of you screen in the taskbar, right click on the icon then on "playback devices", do you see anything? Have you upgraded your Windows recently? Please provide the model number of your laptop and I will look into it for you but, please do the best you can to answer the questions.

Sure, install the creative sound blaster audigy 4 or whatever you got, plug in your speakers,& turn it on. Follow the instructions to install the drivers from the cd for the card. The onboard audio will be by-passed automatically when you install the card. If you need more help, write back.

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy PCI not regognized, No IRQ = NA

From the creative site

"Try the card in different slots
  • if you have an AGP card in the PC, try the PCI card in a non adjacent slot
  • assign as many IRQs as possible to PCI/PnP devices in the BIOS (consult your motherboard manual or contact your motherboard manufacturer/PC vendor for instructions)"

I agree with peepnklown, there does not appear to be any audio on this motherboard. it is not in the specs and the photos of the board do not show an audio connector block on either the 6bx7 or the 6bx7+

you can easily add sound to this board by using a PCI sound card, something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Sound-Blaster-Audigy-SE/dp/B000CF0ZXK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1195135982148&sr=1-2

or maybe something more elaborate if you have expert sound requirements like DTS or Surround sound.
