Pictures do not transfer to computer. - Digital Cameras

I tried connecting the cable from camera to computer 3 or 4 times and it would not work. I had never registered my camera on this computer so I went and registered it and downloaded all the updates and then I was able to download the pictures the way that I use to do. Thank you so much for your help. We didn't want to have to pay a fee.

How to transfer images from computer to nikon coolpix

I don't understand why you would want to transfer pictures from the computer to the camera. Normally you transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. But, if you really want to restore pictures to your camera's memory, you can remove the SD memory card from your camera and transfer the pictures on any computer equipped with an SD card reader/writer. These devices are built into most Apple computers, many PC's and are available as USB accessories for all other computers. I have seen them for under $20. When you connect the device and insert your camera's SC card, your computer will recognize the card and treat it as if it were another hard drive. You will be able to read or write or drag and drop picture files just as you would with any other file on your computer. By the way; most professional photographers use this method to transfer there photos rather then transferring them using a USB cable from the camera.

Kodak M763 how to transfer pictures from computer tp camera?

Use a card reader to copy pictures from the computer.

The camera is designed to capture pictures for ultimate transfer to a computer. It's not really intended to receive pictures from a computer. Thus the camera's data transfer capabilities are designed to go one way. To go the other way you need to use some other device, such as a card reader.

Be aware that if the pictures were taken by a different camera, or have been edited in any way, then the camera may not display the pictures. Opening a picture in a photo editing program and saving it without making any changes counts as editing.

I am trying to transer pictures onto my computer but some pictures are not transferring and when I retry is says all pictures were transferred but many are not. I have updated the software and no matter...

The pics that won't transfer may have the same numbers as pics already on your computer. If that's the case, you'll need to rename the ones on your computer.

Pictures not transferred to the computer

The cause and solution may include one of the following: The AC adapter or USB cable is not securely connected. Check the connections, and then try transferring pictures again. Kodak EasyShare software is not installed. Install the software. There are too many programs running on the computer. Close all software programs and try transferring pictures again. The camera was removed from the dock during picture transfer. Replace the camera on the dock, and press the Transfer button. The Transfer button was not pressed. Press the Transfer button.

This error message means that the preferences in EasyShare software are set to save pictures to the CD-ROM drive or some drive other than your hard drive. To correct this, follow these steps: Start EasyShare software. Select Tools > Preferences. Select the Transfer tab. The default location is: For Windows 98/Me Operating Systems: c:/My Documents/My Pictures/Kodak Pictures For Windows 2000/XP Operating Systems: c:/Documents and Settings/user name/My Documents/My Pictures/Kodak Pictures Select OK to return to Preferences, then click Apply and OK to save and close the Preferences.
