How to attach camera to topman ts 2040 tripod

Do not know the camera make or model you have but there should be a threaded insert in the base of the camera as this is pretty standard on all cameras unless this tripod you have requires some type of adapter or you have a really odd camera.

There is no way to fix it. You should go to nearest Service centre and change the Camera body part.

How does a battery grip works exactly in a camera like nikon D60?

First of all, Nikon doesn't make a battery grip for the D60 so I'm going to assume you mean any of the available third-party grips.

The grip fits into the battery compartment, replacing the battery, and attaches to the bottom of the camera, screwing into the tripod socket. It can hold two battery packs, doubling the battery capacity. Some grips also let you use AA batteries instead of the normal Li-ion battery packs. It also has a tripod socket of its own, so you can still mount your camera on a tripod.

Some people also find it more comfortable when turning the camera to shoot in portrait orientation. The grip gives you another shutter release button and some of the other controls so you still hold the camera with your hands in more-or-less the same position whether you shoot in landscape or portrait.

Of course, there is a cost for all this. The grip adds significantly to the bulk and weight of the camera.

I have a Minolta X-7A and it came with an Electronic Power Winder and I'm not sure how to use it

This is easy, underneath the power winder you should see a slver wingnut type device, this turns a screw which protrudes up (its the same pattern as a tripod screw) this will mate with the base of the camera, make sure that the on/off switch is facing the rear, put a new set of AA's in and off you go.. BEWARE do not hold your finger down too long on the shutter release, as the winder will shoot at 2 frames per second, 12 secs to burn a 24 exposure film......
I hope this has answered your question

I'm trying to attach a Canon EOS Rebel XS to a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod, but the tripod socket on the camera is too small. How do I attach them?

You need a head. The tripod has a standardized screw for accepting a tripod head, which is a larger screw than for the tripod mount on the camera. There are a variety of heads available, ball heads, three-axis heads, geared heads, pan-and-tilt heads, and more.

Here's a page showing Manfrotto heads:

Fuji s5100 batter door cover prongs are broken off.

I have the simple and cheap fix to a frustrating problem!
Just take a tripod base and screw it into the bottom of the
camera. The square tripod base is large enough to hold the battery
cover on the camera closed without any interference.
So there you go! No tape, rubber bands or other crazy contraptions!
Cheap, Quick and simple.

SD600, the camera time resets everytime i turn it on. i read the manual and found out that there is rechargeable lithium battery built into the camera to save such setting. does any one know what type...

There's a little battery in the camera under where the tripod mount is. Make sure your camera is out of warranty before attempting any repairs. Opening the case will void your warranty. Do this at your own risk.
1) Remove all six screws from the outside of the case.  2) You'll need to loosen the LCD panel, there are two little tabs holding the panel, and one screw up by the speaker (photo/movie/view) switch.  3) Remove the screw by the speaker, this will give you access under the LCD. Do not unhook the LCD cables.  4) Now under the LCD panel you should see a screw that connects the metal backplate with the tripod mount, remove that screw.  5) On the bottom, on the main motherboard, there's another screw holding the tripod mount in.  6) After removing the tripod mount, you should see a battery under the LCD cable.  7) On the main motherboard, gently (GENTLY) remove the large LCD cable and pull it through to the other side.  8) You should now see the battery pretty clearly.  9) Replace the battery. MS614X 10) Reverse the steps.

Where can I get the screw on the base plate of the tripod that secures the camera to it

Any shop that deals with cameras, either digital or photo should have these screws. You are more likely to find them at a camera shop rather than Walmart though.

Need FinePix S7000 Tripod

They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting.
So all cameras will fit all tripods.
The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.

Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few.
If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}
